A mental illness is a condition that affects a person’s thinking, feeling or mood. Such conditions may affect someone’s ability to relate to others and function each day. Each person will have different experiences, even people with the same diagnosis. What has the COVID-19 pandemic taught us about ourselves, our personal relationships and how we interact with our patients? We need to cultivate more opportunities to seek and provide help for those we know and love.
